Premium Airboat Tour

Set out on a 20,000-acre tract of tidewater cypress swamp close to the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. Your flat-bottomed airboat is powered by an aircraft propeller for a fast, fluid run through the shallow marsh. Feel the wind on your face as you zip into bayous lined with mossy cypress and tupelo-gum trees while your captain points out the wildlife.

Expect plenty of alligators in the warmer months (and on warmer winter days), some of them sunning on the banks. Your guide may even feed the gators, which makes for fantastic photos. Before heading back to New Orleans, stop by our indoor alligator exhibits, including Sugar, our albino alligator.
